Education & Career

Alexandros obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University College London in 1996, while in 1997 he joined Lincolns Inn and qualified as a Barrister-at-Law. He proceeded to complete a Master of Laws specialising in Commercial and Corporate Law in 1998 and in 1999 he was granted his license to practice Law by the Legal Council of Cyprus.

After graduating, Alexandros joined the workforce of Costas Tsirides & Co LLC. He initially worked as a trainee lawyer (from 1998 to 1999) and then as an Associate, thus becoming an asset to the firm. Throughout his career, Alexandros was given the opportunity to approach a wide range of issues, including Insurance, Banking and Tort.

In 2009, he became the Managing Director of Costas Tsirides & Co LLC and has been successfully running the firm ever since.

Areas of Expertise

His practice focuses mainly on civil litigation with emphasis on Commercial and Corporate issues. He also works as a legal advisor to Commercial Transactions, such as IPO’s, cross-border mergers, stock exchange listings and commercial agreements. Alexandros has extensive experience in international litigation disputes in the areas of Commercial and Corporate Law, Civil Fraud, Conspiracy and Contract.

Positions/Appointments

He has been a licensed Insolvency Practitioner since 2015 and the President of the Examination Committee for Insolvency Practitioners from 2016 to 2022. Alexandros served as a member of the Administrative Council of the Cyprus Bar Association from 2014 to 2017 and was appointed as the Vice-president of the Limassol Bar Association in 2011 with his term of office expiring in 2014. Finally, he also served as the Treasurer of the Limassol Bar Association from 2004 to 2006.
